How to use it
Turn on
With the black control box (see left), you can turn on both the projector and the rack components (black cupboard on wheels g Press the key ON
Turn off
Press the key OFF: All components will be turned off. The projector needs some time to turn off. Until this is done, you cannot turn the projector on again.
Presentations
You can only connect two machines to the projector at the same time (computer, laptop, etc). One connection is analog (VGA), the other digital (HDMI). The picture quality is better with HDMI. Some computers need a special adapter for HDMI connection. This adapter is not part of the presentation system: you have to bring it yourself.

Volume Control

Play Movie from CD, DVD or Blu-ray disc
Open the rack door, put the disc into the player of the rack.
Press key BLU-RAY.
Start the movie with the Blu-ray remote control (be careful, there are two remote controls, one for the Blu-ray player, and one for the beamer, which is not needed normally).
TV
Press key PLAYER on black box.
TV Channels
You can only switch between channels with the keys CH+ and CH- on the black box. The list of channels is limited to the ones subscribed to by ETHZ (list on window sill).
Interrupt Sound and Picture
Any kind of presentation (Computer, slides, TV, movie) can be interrupted by pressing the key AV MUTE.
Projector (hanging from ceiling)
The projector has a resolution of 1280×800 (not Full HD) and has a luminous intensity of 7000 ANSI-Lumen. The projector must never be touched, it should only be controlled via black box. The remote control for the beamer should not be used.
Rack
Blu-ray Player
This is the only rack component you ever use.
Bottom Drawer of Rack
Contains a technical documentation, the remote control for the projector (not needed, as you should use the black control box) and the remote control for the Blu-ray player.
